2010 SUMMER TEACHER WORKSHOPS

Teacher workshops will be offered the first two weeks in June. PLU credit will be offered to teachers who complete the required course work.

Jimmy Carter: Our 39th President - Limited to 15 teachers whose curriculum includes Georgia Performance Standards about Jimmy Carter. Teachers will visit the childhood home and farm of Jimmy Carter as well as Plains High School Museum and his hometown. Each teacher will develop digital presentations which can be used in their classroom.  3 PLU credits.

Digital Storytelling - Limited to 8 teachers. Each teacher must bring their laptop and a digital camera. Teachers will visit the historic site and use historic resources to develop digital stories that can be used in their classroom. Each person will produce at least 2 presentations which will be shared with the class. 2 PLU credits
